Tsukioka Yoshitoshi was a prolific Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print artist of the late Edo and early Meiji periods. Yoshitoshi's vivid and emotionally charged prints, such as his "One Hundred Aspects of the Moon" series, showcased his technical mastery and storytelling prowess. Despite struggling with mental health issues, he left a profound impact on the art world, inspiring future generations of artists and contributing significantly to the ukiyo-e tradition during a time of cultural transformation in Japan.
