About the artist
Koloman Moser (1868-1918) was an influential Austrian artist and designer, a key figure in the Vienna Secession movement and co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. Moser's work spanned various disciplines, including painting, graphic design, furniture, textiles, and stained glass. Known for his innovative and modernist approach, he seamlessly blended Art Nouveau and early modernist aesthetics. His designs are characterised by their geometric patterns, bold lines, and harmonious use of colour. Moser's contributions significantly shaped the visual arts in early 20th-century Vienna, leaving a lasting impact on decorative arts and design.
