About the artist

Piet Mondrian (1872–1944) was a pioneering Dutch abstract artist who co-founded the De Stijl art movement. Known for his geometric, non-representational paintings, Mondrian's works, such as "Broadway Boogie Woogie" and "Composition with Red, Blue, and Yellow," epitomized his commitment to purity, simplicity, and the spiritual in art. His iconic use of primary colors and grid-like structures had a profound influence on modern art, design, and architecture. Mondrian's radical approach to abstraction and form laid the foundation for much of the 20th-century's non-objective art and continues to inspire creativity today.
