Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848–1884) was a French painter known for his innovative approach to naturalism and his contributions to the Realist movement. Born in Damvillers, France, Bastien-Lepage studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was influenced by the Barbizon School painters.
