Yashima Gakutei
Yashima Gakutei (1786–1868) was a Japanese artist known for his ukiyo-e woodblock prints and paintings during the late Edo period. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Gakutei initially trained as a samurai before pursuing a career in art. He studied under the ukiyo-e master Hokusai, and his work was heavily influenced by Hokusai's style.
