Bo Lundberg

I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based in Stockholm, Sweden, where I studied graphic design and illustration. I grew up in northern Sweden and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. For more than 25 years, I've worked internationally as a commercial illustrator, creating images for magazines, advertising, books and various design projects. Over time, I've developed a style based on bold colours, clean lines and simplified shapes, often with influences from mid-century design and the visual culture of the 1960s and 70s. Alongside my commissioned work, I create my own collections of prints. Many of these are inspired by my interest in architecture, travel, design and everyday objects. My ongoing Around the World series, for example, explores cities, buildings and landmarks through a combination of graphic simplicity and a touch of nostalgia. I enjoy reducing an image to its essential elements, finding a balance between colour, shape and composition. My aim is to create images that are simple at first glance but still have something to discover.
