Emil Nolde

Emil Nolde was a German-Danish painter and printmaker, recognised as a key figure in the Expressionist movement. Known for his vivid use of colour and dramatic compositions, Nolde's work often explored themes of spirituality, nature, and human emotion. Despite facing opposition for his modernist style, he remained dedicated to his artistic vision, creating powerful works that included landscapes, religious scenes, and vibrant floral paintings.
