About the artist

Paul Gauguin
1848—1903
Paul Gauguin was a French Post-Impressionist painter celebrated for his distinctive use of colour and innovative approach to art. His journey from a successful Parisian stockbroker to a pioneering artist led him to seek inspiration in Tahiti and other exotic locales. Gauguin's works, including "Tahitian Women on the Beach" and "Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?", often fused symbolism with vivid colours, reflecting his quest for spiritual and artistic authenticity. His influence extended beyond his lifetime, inspiring future generations of artists and cementing his place in art history.
