About the artist
Toshi Yoshida was a Japanese artist renowned for his woodblock prints, particularly landscapes and scenes of nature. He came from a family with a long tradition in woodblock printmaking, and he mastered the techniques from an early age. Yoshida's prints often depicted serene landscapes, traditional Japanese architecture, and wildlife, rendered with meticulous detail and vibrant colours. He was skilled at capturing the beauty of changing seasons and the harmony between nature and human activity.
