About the artist
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish artist who is widely considered one of the most influential figures in 20th-century art. He was a painter, sculptor, and printmaker who helped to pioneer several key movements of modern art, including Cubism and Surrealism. Picasso's work often explored themes of love, war, and human suffering, and his style was marked by its ability to deconstruct and reconstruct the human form in new and innovative ways. He produced an enormous body of work over the course of his long career, and his impact on modern art continues to be felt to this day.
