About the artist
Raoul Dufy (1877–1953) was a French Fauvist painter and textile designer celebrated for his vibrant and colorful works. Known for his exuberant scenes of seaside towns, horse races, and regattas, Dufy's art combined bold brushwork with a sense of joy and optimism. He was also a prolific textile designer, collaborating with prestigious French fashion houses.
