About the gallery
This gallery wall features two framed posters from the golden age of British railway advertising, both promoting the Southern Railway's vision of the English countryside: a warm Kent landscape with an oast house, winding lane, and rolling hills, and a sweeping Surrey scene of patchwork fields viewed through tall trees, each painted in a rich, illustrative style with period typography beneath, all printed on high-quality paper. This art collection works beautifully as a matched pair, sharing the same format, era, and gentle promise of a quieter life just a train ride from London, with earthy autumnal tones that make them feel like something found in a country pub or antique shop. Ideal as prints for gallery walls, these pieces bring heritage charm, pastoral warmth, and a wonderful slice of British design history to any living space.
