About the artist
Félix Vallotton (1865–1925) was a Swiss-French painter and printmaker associated with the Post-Impressionist and Nabis movements. Known for his bold use of flat colors and simplified forms, Vallotton's work often depicted scenes of everyday life with a touch of irony and wit. He was also a prolific printmaker, creating woodcuts and lithographs that demonstrated his mastery of graphic art.
