Hasegawa Sadanobu
1809—1879Hasegawa Sadanobu was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist known for his woodblock prints, particularly his portraits of kabuki actors and beautiful women. He was active during the late Edo period and was associated with the Utagawa school of printmaking. Sadanobu's prints are characterized by their meticulous attention to detail, vibrant colours, and dynamic compositions. He was especially skilled at capturing the expressive gestures and theatrical poses of kabuki actors, as well as the graceful beauty of women in various settings.
