Henry Lyman Sayen

Henri Lyman Sayen was an American engineer, artist, and inventor. Trained at MIT in electrical engineering, he simultaneously nurtured a passion for painting, studying under prominent artists in both the U.S. and Paris. Sayen's artwork, primarily consisting of landscapes and portraits, showcased elements of Impressionism and Fauvism. Apart from his artistic endeavors, he held patents in radiography and was deeply involved in early x-ray research. This blend of art and science made Sayen a unique figure of his time, merging creativity with technological innovation.
