Eliseu Meifrèn

Eliseu Meifrèn i Roig was a Catalan landscape painter known for his atmospheric depictions of the Mediterranean countryside, particularly the landscapes of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. Meifrèn's paintings are characterised by their vibrant colours, luminous light effects, and impressionistic brushwork, which captured the beauty and tranquility of the Mediterranean landscape. He was also influenced by the French Impressionists and often painted en plein air to capture the changing effects of light and atmosphere.
