Kiyoshi Karimizu
I am Kiyokari43 (Kiyoshi Karimizu), a Japanese photographer best known for my evocative street photography, capturing the atmosphere of urban life through a distinctive and cinematic style.
Working mainly at night, I focus on backstreets and alleyways where neon lights, reflection, and drifting smoke create layered, evocative scenes. My work goes beyond documentation, inviting viewers to experience the mood and hidden narratives within everyday moments.
While street photography is central to my practice, I also incorporate a conceptual approach influenced by contemporary art and Japanese aesthetics, giving my work a timeless and distinctive quality.
My photography has received international recognition, including Architecture Photographer of the Year at the International Photography Awards (IPA), and has been exhibited in Europe and the United States.
