À propos de l'artiste
Francisco Goya was a Spanish painter and printmaker considered one of the most important artists of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He is known for his diverse body of work, which includes portraits, religious paintings, and powerful depictions of social and political themes. Goya's art evolved over his lifetime, from his early works influenced by Rococo and Neoclassical styles to his later, darker period marked by intense, expressionistic compositions. His famous series of etchings, "Los Caprichos" and "The Disasters of War," provided searing critiques of society and warfare. Goya's profound impact on the art world and his ability to capture the complexities of the human experience continue to resonate today.
