Maruyama Okyo

Maruyama Okyo was a pioneering Japanese artist and the founder of the Maruyama-Shijō school of painting. Known for his naturalistic style, Ōkyo blended traditional Japanese techniques with Western realism, creating a distinctive approach that captured the essence of his subjects with remarkable accuracy and detail.
