Torii Kiyohiro
18th CenturyTorii Kiyohiro was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist associated with the Torii school, known for its focus on kabuki theatre and actor portraits. Kiyohiro's work is celebrated for its elegant line work and refined compositions, often depicting actors in dynamic poses and elaborate costumes. His prints are characterised by their attention to detail and subtle use of color, capturing the essence of Edo-period kabuki theatre. Although not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Kiyohiro's contributions to ukiyo-e helped to establish and perpetuate the distinctive style of the Torii school, influencing later generations of printmakers.
